BlackWealthFunds (“BlackWealthFunds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit blackwealthfunds.com or use any of our member services (the “Services”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information: name, email address, password, and profile details you choose to share.
• Membership and payment information: billing details processed by our payment processor (Square). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Content you submit: business listings, job posts, marketplace listings, project proposals, blog comments, messages, and uploaded files.
• Communications: emails, support tickets, and survey responses.

We also collect information automatically when you use the Services, such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate location derived from your IP.

2. How we use information

• Operate, secure, and improve the Services.
• Authenticate you and protect against fraud and abuse.
• Process payments, memberships, and member-to-member transactions.
• Send transactional emails (receipts, notifications, password resets) and, with your consent, occasional newsletters.
• Match members for mentorship, networking, and community projects.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, error monitoring), bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
• Other members, but only the profile fields you choose to make visible.
• Authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of BlackWealthFunds, our members, or the public.
• Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.

4. Data retention

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

5. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

6. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@blackwealthfunds.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. International users

BlackWealthFunds is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app message.
